Rapper Cam’ron goes against the “snitches get stitches” mantra to encourage White House staffers to leak information about Donald Trump in a Daily Show PSA.

The Daily Show host Trevor Noah delved into the topic of leaks on Monday’s episode of the Comedy Central program, covering how President Trump and White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer are attempting to limit the amount of negative information getting out to the press. It resulted in a meeting where Spicer forced his staff to turn over their phones to show they had nothing to hide, but as Noah noted, the fact that the details of the meeting leaked out to the media demonstrates that their crackdown strategy isn’t working.

Unsurprisingly, The Daily Show has a different view on leaks than the Trump administration, recruiting rapper Cam’ron — perhaps best known to non-hip-hop listeners for his “You mad” interview with Bill O’Reilly that later became a meme — to encourage snitching in the White House, calling it a civic duty.

“There’s a saying: ‘Snitches get stitches.’ But times have changed,” he began. “When Donald Trump is president, y’all snitches have a civic-ass responsibility to tell us what he’s up to.”

Cam’ron makes it clear that this applies to members of the intelligence community, government bureaucrats, “or a disgruntled third wife who didn’t sign up for any of this sh*t.”

“Tell the world what you know, because for now on snitches get riches,” he added, before making it rain, though a caption underneath read: “No monetary reward for snitching, compensation is a functioning democracy.”

“Stay snitching, America,” Cam’ron concluded.
