When does The Daily Show with Trevor Noah return in 2017?
By Hector Cruz
The Daily Show with Trevor Noah returns tonight, January 3rd, with brand new episodes.
Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Trevor Noah is finally back from hiatus starting tonight for its first new episode of 2017. For the three shows this week, the host will welcome a fellow fake news anchor, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Russia and one half of Key & Peele.
On Tuesday’s installment, Noah will welcome SNL cast member Michael Che, a co-anchor on “Weekend Update.” The comedian, whose stand-up special, Michael Che Matters, debuted on Netflix in November, spent one year as a correspondent on The Daily Show, appearing in nine episodes, before moving on to the long-running NBC sketch series. He’s set to guest star in the upcoming Comedy Central sitcom Detroiters, led by Veep‘s Sam Richardson and Tim Robinson, who worked on SNL as a writer and performer.

Keegan-Michael Key will return to The Daily Show on Thursday to continue to promote his new film Why Him? co-starring Bryan Cranston and James Franco, as well as his role in the Jan. 15 episode of The Simpsons, where he plays a washed up rapper named “Jazzy James,” joining actual rappers Snoop Dogg, RZA, and Common as guest stars in the Great Gatsby-inspired ep. Key last appeared during the late-night show’s live election night special.
