When does The Late Late Show with James Corden return to CBS?

Find out when The Late Late Show with James Corden will return from hiatus with new episodes.
All of the late-night talk shows on the broadcast networks are currently hiatus, not just to give the hosts a late summer break, but also to avoid the juggernaut known as the Olympics. However, we’re now less than a week away from when they are all set to return with new episodes, including The Late Late Show with James Corden.
The British comedian has had a successful run in the nearly year and a half since he succeeded Craig Ferguson as host of the CBS series, so much so that he’s allegedly fielding offers from rival networks attempting to lure him away once his contract expires, prompting reports that CBS is looking to lock him down by offering him a prime time variety show. He’s also continuing his film career, recently signing up to voice the main character in the live-action/CGI hybrid Peter Rabbit movie alongside Rose Byrne.
His Late Late Show tenure has been so successful that two of his musical segments have already spawned upcoming spin-off series, including “Carpool Karaoke” for Apple Music, and “Drop the Mic” on TBS, though Corden will not be hosting either project. Upcoming artists slated to appear on the show’s version of “Carpool Karaoke” include Jimmy Kimmel pranker Britney Spears, and perhaps, Kanye West, after a recent appearance by First Lady Michelle Obama.
Corden has been keeping busy by recently traveling back to England to host the comedy panel show A League of Their Own, and he even posted a racy photo to Instagram wearing only a jockstrap covered with flowers to urge his followers to “Tag a friend and give them a rose.”
