Get ready for some bad news. There isn’t a new episode of Saturday Night Live tonight, Saturday, Nov. 29. Of course, we knew that already, didn’t we?
Here at Last Night On, we previously shared that Saturday Night Live was taking the rest of November off from regular programming. There would be the Thanksgiving special, which aired on Wednesday, Nov. 26, but that would be it for new episodes. The wait isn’t long, though.

Saturday Night Live has a rerun tonight
If you’re looking for something fun to watch tonight, Saturday, Nov. 29, there is some good news. There’s a rerun of Saturday Night Live, and we’re heading back to the second episode of the season. Amy Poehler hosted the episode, with Role Model as the musical guest.
It was Poehler’s third stint hosting the series, and featured Seth Meyers and Tina Fey in some of the skits. There was also a mention of the official 50th birthday of the show, as the series first premeired on Oct. 11, 1975 (so I’m sure you can tell which night this episode aired on in 2025).
There was also the fun parody of The Hunting Wives season 2, which is currently in production. Aubrey Plaza stepped in to help with this parody, as the pre-taped segment gave us a trailer that could rival the real thing!
While you can watch elements of the show online, it’s usually best to just watch it in full as the series intended. However, if you don’t want to watch this one, you can turn to Peacock for any previous episode of SNL.

Saturday Night Live will resume a regular schedule soon
In some good news, this is the last week of the break. At least, for now. SNL will return to its regular broadcast on Saturday, Dec. 6. We know that Melissa McCarthy will be back to guest host, with Dijon making his debut as the musical guest.
Other guests have also been announced to round out the year, with Ariana Grande and Cher taking to the stage on the same night, which is sure to bring some excellent moments.
Then the series will go back on a break for the holidays. This is disappointing, but it’s also a normal part of the TV schedule. We’re sure to see some reruns during the break, and don’t forget that there will be a Christmas special, which will get a rerun just before Santa comes to visit.
Saturday Night Live is available to stream on Peacock.
