A lot of late night shows are heading on a break, as tonight, Friday, Feb. 6, marks the beginning of the Winter Olympics. However, Real Time with Bill Maher will continue to air throughout the sporting event, and we have the details of the new episode.

As usual, there will be a one-on-one interview and a roundtable discussion happening throughout the night. Take a look at everything you need to know, and make sure you’re ready for new episodes every Friday throughout the Winter Olympics.

What time is Real Time with Bill Maher season 24 episode 3 on HBO?

The episode will air at the usual time of 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT on HBO and HBO Max. It’s not changing despite HBO Max dropping a couple of shows earlier in the day — A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and Industry air on Sundays, so HBO has dropped the episodes early due to the Super Bowl.

You can watch Real Time on either HBO with your cable provider or via HBO Max live at the time the episode is released. From there, you’ll be able to watch on HBO Max at a time that suits you, and it’s the beauty of streaming shows. Just stay off social media before you watch if you want to avoid spoilers.

Who will be the guests on Real Time season 24 episode 3?

John Mellencamp will come onto the show for a one-on-one interview with Maher. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame singer and songwriter will begin a new tour, “Dancing Words — The Greatest Hits,” during the summer. He’s sure to be on the show to promote that and talk about his experience on the stage and with his music.

After that, we’ll get a roundtable discussion. Chris Christie and Chrystia Freeland will join Maher for the discussion. Christie is the former Republican governor for New Jersey, and he now contributes to ABC News. Freelandis the former deputy prime minister and finance minister in Canada. Now she is the economic adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. There are sure to be plenty of discussions about finance, the current state of the world, and more.

There will also be another “New Rules” segment, which has become a popular part of Real Time with Bill Maher. If you’re not sure what that is, check out the video below from last week’s segment.

Don't forget that Real Time will air throughout the Winter Olympics. The Tonight Show and Late Night are going dark for the whole two weeks, and Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Late Show, and The Daily Show will take a week off during that time.

Real Time with Bill Maher airs Fridays at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT on HBO and HBO Max.
