The Trump administration made household names out of many characters during its four-year run. And while Donald Trump may be (mostly) out of the spotlight, his allies continue to make headlines. On Thursday, Jimmy Kimmel checked in with Team Trump members Mike Pence, Matt Gaetz, and the MyPillow guy himself Mike Lindell.

Donald Trump is holed up at Mar-a-Lago, making wedding toasts and fighting his crusade against cancel culture by calling for Major League Baseball to be canceled. The former president has definitely been overshadowed by the recent news surrounding some of his former allies and supporters.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! always made time to make punchlines out of Team Trump members. That list included former Vice President Mike Pence, Florida Representative Matt Gaetz, and Mike Lindell, better known as the MyPillow guy.

Now, all three are back in the news. Pence has signed a new deal, Gaetz is facing some very serious accusations, and Lindell is being held accountable for his conspiracy theories. Jimmy Kimmel recapped it all in his monologue last night.

Jimmy Kimmel continues to consider Mike Pence to be Donald Trump’s pet

Jimmy Kimmel Live! fans are well aware of how the host views former Vice President Mike Pence. Time and time again, Kimmel referred to Pence as the “vice poodle” and made comparisons to Pence and a pet dog. Not exactly a flattering image of the second-most powerful person in the country.

So it was not surprising to hear more of the same as Kimmel reported on Mike Pence’s new book deal. While a release date wasn’t announced, Kimmel did joke that the title will be “Ass Kisser.” The late night host went on to crack that Pence’s book will be the only time pages got whiter after words were printed on them.

Of course, no discussion of Mike Pence and books is complete without acknowledging A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo, John Oliver’s parody of Pence. Let’s see which book has better sales.

Matt Gaetz’s defense strategy is amusing Jimmy Kimmel

The more the public learns about Representative Matt Gaetz’s private life, the worse it looks for the Florida congressman. The latest reports indicate investigators are scrutinizing a trip Gaetz allegedly took to the Bahamas where he met with escorts paid for by an associate.

Gaetz continues to deny the allegations and defend himself. Jimmy Kimmel is clearly very amused by watch Gaetz squirm, just like the late night host was when he first covered the story last week.

Kimmel was especially giddy to remind Gaetz and everyone else of a threatening tweet the congressman sent out to Michael Cohen before testimony against Donald Trump. Kimmel predicts that karma is about to catch up with Matt Gaetz.

Jimmy Kimmel “interviews” MyPillow guy Mike Lindell

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell’s turn as a political player was something nobody could have predicted but now seems so fitting for the Trump era. Many will recall the images of Lindell outside the West Wing in the final days of the Trump presidency, carrying notes on how Donald Trump could remain in power.

Lindell’s defense of Donald Trump led him to make unfounded election fraud claims and the businessman paid the price. His company lost revenue and he is facing a $1.3 billion lawsuit from Dominion Voting Systems.

Jimmy Kimmel decided it was worth checking in on the MyPillow guy to see how he’s coping with it all. Check out the exclusive “interview” with Mike Lindell (James Adomian) below:
