Is this the week that Saturday Night Live finally returns?

With the spring season comes spring breaks and spring vacations. Saturday Night Live has been enjoying some rest and relaxation leading many fans to ask when they’ll get a new episode.

That’s because while SNL has been resting, the audience has been frantically trying to figure out what is going on in the world. The best way to digest the news has always been with a slice of humor for the SNL faithful.

There is certainly plenty for Saturday Night Live to catch up on in addition to the news of the week. The Mueller report is still dominating the headlines and the victory lap by Team Trump absolutely lends itself to a sketch or cold open.

So should fans expect to see SNL back to close out March? Or will they be like President Trump and be forced to tune into another rerun tonight?

Good news is finally here. Yes, there will be a brand new episode of Saturday Night Live tonight. The host will be Killing Eve actress Sandra Oh and Tame Impala gets the musical guest honor.

It is the first time host for Oh who made a name for herself on Grey’s Anatomy. She is a hard core fan of SNL which is always a good thing for a host. Her stint hosting the Golden Globes with SNL alum Andy Samberg also proved that she can handle comedy in front a live, and large, audience.

Tonight marks a stretch of three straight new episodes as SNL closes out season 44. Next week Game of Thrones star Kit Harington will host, making at least one of Last Night On’s predictions come true
