Once again President Donald Trump took to Twitter to call out Saturday Night Live.

We know that Saturday Night Live has some of the most dedicated viewers in television. It is now clear that President Donald Trump is among those tuning in to NBC every Saturday Night.

Like many SNL fans, President Trump was upset with what he saw on the show this past weekend. While everyone else was no doubt annoyed that there was not a new episode, President Trump still managed to send out a brand new tweet.

It wasn’t long ago that Trump called out Saturday Night Live for what he called a one-sided and unfair portrayal of his administration. The president was criticized for even paying attention to what a comedy show is doing. But Trump’s fixation on television is well documented so it wasn’t all that surprising to hear him respond publicly to SNL.

But it was surprising to see him tweeting about the show once again this weekend. In addition to ripping on the late Senator John McCain, Trump took aim once again at Saturday Night Live.

The president’s tweets were sent out on Sunday morning, suggesting he was referring to Saturday Night Live‘s airing the night before. The problem is that it was  rerun of a Dec. episode hosted by Matt Damon. Chances are Trump was reacting to the cold open, which itself should have tipped off the president that he was watching a old episode.

The threats regarding action by the FCC is no laughing matter and point to a larger issue about President Trump’s thin skin as well as his grasp on reality. But on a lighter note, the thought of the president getting all worked up while watching a rerun of Saturday Night Live is pretty hilarious.

Is that really the best use of his time, considering we are in the middle of a national emergency? He attacked late night shows as well, continuing a feud that he can in no way win.

Donald Trump’s tweets also prompted responses from a couple people in the SNL universe. Alec Baldwin replied to Trump on Twitter while cast member Leslie Jones also shared her thoughts on Instagram.
