Saturday Night Live’s 44th season still has a ways to go before wrapping up so we have five predictions on who will be called in to host in 2019.

It has been an interesting season for Saturday Night Live so far. There have been some pretty high moments and some inconsistencies through the first nine episodes. Ratings have remained consistent, however, as fans continue to tune in week after week to see what the writers have come up with and how the host will perform.

That fan dedication is partly the reason that Saturday Night Live remains a staple of late night television. And any inconsistencies during the season can’t really be attributed to the hosts. Whether they are first timers like Claire Foy or Jason Momoa, or returning hosts, like Jonah Hill and Matt Damon, each host has been enthusiastic and done the best with what they were given.

So with 12 episodes left in season 44 there are plenty of opportunities to bring in hosts will will excite and attract audiences. Hosts are typically selected based on press tours and lined up with the release of whatever project they are promoting. That’s what we will focus on with these predictions, knowing that surprise hosts can always pop up towards the end of the season.
