The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon

Jimmy Fallon, who has received some criticism in the past for going too light on the president, managed to equal Meyers with three jokes of his own. Fallon was able to tie in the president’s text with the biggest story in the news and late night with a Brett Kavanaugh line to start.

Similar to Meyers, Fallon made a crack at the expense of Trump’s family. This time it was his son Eric Trump. It’s been a running joke across all the shows that Trump has a less than stellar relationship with his sons and Eric seems to get the worst of it. Look no further than his characterization Saturday Night Live by cast member Alex Moffet

Another common gag is Trump’s love of junk food. Jimmy Kimmel frequently hits on this and now Fallon provides us with some amusing imagery of Trump elbow deep in a can of Pringles. Some people may be less inclined to help in that situation if it can keep his hands occupied and away from his phone

Jimmy Kimmel Live

Jimmy Kimmel took the most unique approach to the story with his trailer for “The Textening.” It manages to not only joke about the president’s Twitter use and message system but also makes light of Hollywood decision making when it comes to financing movies.

The bit seems to be stalling until it escalates in a major way. First we see a cop open fire on his phone and then drastic measures are taken to get rid of a smartwatch. You can hear in the audience’s reaction that things were slowing down until those scenes took things to a new level.

Plenty of people have made the joke that the election was something out of an episode of Black Mirror. Here we have Kimmel drawing some inspiration with that. And while it is unlikely that Trump would abuse the FEMA system, would it surprise anyone at this point?
