Over the last several years, Colin Jost has become one of Saturday Night Live's most talked-about stars by far. For example, footage of Jost being tricked into joking about his wife, Scarlett Johansson, quickly went viral on social media after it aired. As a result, when it was announced that SNL would have a cast shakeup before season 51, there was a lot of interest in whether Colin would depart the show.

While Colin wound up continuing to star in Saturday Night Live, there was a reason to think that it would have made sense for him to be one of the cast members who left. After all, while some fans may not know it, Colin had become the host of a game show. Now, it turns out that Colin's game show will go through a major transition as it will soon move to Netflix for its second season.

Pop Culture Jeopardy! hosted by Colin Jost is moving to Netflix

Since March 2022, Netflix has been the home of Is It Cake?, a unique game show hosted by Saturday Night Live's Mikey Day. Now, the wildly successful streaming service is set to become the home of Pop Culture Jeopardy!, a game show that was hosted by Colin Jost during its 1st season. While being moved to Netflix is a huge deal for the show, how that news will affect Jost is yet to be seen.

In October 2025, Netflix's official website published an article about Pop Culture Jeopardy! season 2 moving to Netflix. While that article wasn't very specific about when the game show will arrive on the streaming service, it revealed that users can expect to be able to watch its 2nd season sometime in 2026.

Upon a closer look, it becomes clear that Netflix wasn't only vague about when Pop Culture Jeopardy! will premiere on the streaming service. Instead, the article didn't reveal another important detail about the game show's second season. At no point in that article did it state that Jost will return to host Pop Culture Jeopardy! season 2 on Netflix. Given that Jost is famous and the media tends to report on every detail they can about him, the fact that Jost's name never appears in Netflix's article seems very telling.

Fortunately for Jost and his fans, it seems like he could still be a part of Pop Culture Jeopardy! when the show premieres on Netflix. An October 2025 Deadline article about Pop Culture Jeopardy!'s move to the streaming giant stated that Jost was still in talks about returning to host the game show's second season.

Easily one of the most legendary game shows in television history, Jeopardy! premiered on March 30, 1964. Most famously hosted by Alex Trebek, Jeopardy! has also starred Art Fleming, Mike Richards, Mayim Bialik, and Ken Jennings. Thanks to the game show's legendary status, it has spawned several spin-offs, including Rock & Roll Jeopardy!, Sports Jeopardy!, and Jep!, a version meant for kids. The first season of the show's latest spin-off, Pop Culture Jeopardy!, aired its first season between 2024 and 2025.
