Late Night with Seth Meyers continued its coverage of the Democratic National Convention on Thursday night. But rather than look at the joyous energy coming from the Democrats, Seth Meyers used "A Closer Look" to spotlight a humiliating week for Mike Lindell and Donald Trump.

Unlike The Daily Show and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, NBC's Late Night with Seth Meyers did not film live following the DNC. That meant Meyers and his team were a day behind on most content. However, it also meant that the team behind "A Closer Look" could really zero in on its subject.

Thursday night, the topic was the humiliation suffered by MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell and Donald Trump. The two allies have become late-night TV punching bags who often endure self-inflicted wounds.

Case in point: Mike Lindell's efforts to "infiltrate" the Democratic National Convention. Seth Meyers roasted the businessman for a livestream of Lindell shaving his moustache. Things only got worse when the MyPillow guy tried to debate election fraud with a 12-year-old boy.

Meyers mocked Lindell for throwing out names and numbers that few people could follow in the viral clip. "No wonder this kid kept giving Jim Halpert looks to the camera," Meyers teased. The comedian went on to praise the kid for being the adult in the conversation and walking away when Lindell clearly couldn't carry on a worthwhile discussion.

Things didn't go much better for Donald Trump. "A Closer Look" wrapped up by focusing on the speech that clearly got under the skin of the ex-president.

Meyers revisited President Barack Obama's DNC speech from Tuesday night jabbing Trump about crowd sizes. The Late Night host argued that Trump's response has only backfired as more attention is placed on Obama's speech and innuendo.

All in all, Seth Meyers saw it as more proof that Team Trump can't beat the weird allegations. "A Closer Look" clearly considers it another victory for the Democrats with no end in sight as we inch closer to November.
