When it comes to celebrities, they all seem to have one thing in common. They’re moving into the ever-crowded podcasting space, and a Saturday Night Live star is the latest to do it. Yes, Pete Davidson is now joining in the fun, according to Netflix.
This comes off the back of the reveal that Bowen Yang has just confirmed his first gig after leaving the series. Yang will co-host a Winter Olympics podcast, although that is off the back of his own success with his Summer Olympics podcast from 2024. It’s also combined with multiple other podcasters as various people cover the Winter Olympics.
Davidson’s podcast is something completely different to Yang’s. However, it is very similar to the many podcasts we see out in the world today. He’s also teaming up with Netflix for this latest offering.

What is Pete Davidson’s new podcast?
Titled The Pete Davidson Show, the “new video podcast” will debut on Netflix on Friday, Jan. 30. It will then air weekly on Fridays, with new episodes dropping on Netflix. It’s not clear how many episodes will be in this first season, or whether it will follow traditional show formats with the season numbers.
This is more of a talk show rather than a podcast, though. Of course, Netflix claims that it’s not a talk show, but there will not be an audio-only version of the “podcast” available anywhere. In other words, you’ll need to have Netflix if you want to keep up to date with the SNL alum.
Davidson does have a connection to Netflix after his comedy special Pete Davidson: Alive from New York dropped on the streamer in February 2020. He then came back for Pete Davidson Presents: The Best Friends as part of the Netflix Is a Joke Fest, and then in 2024, he had another special, Pete Davidson: Turbo Fonzarelli.

What is The Pete Davidson Show about?
The new podcast will feature Davidson and his friends. He’ll sit down with various friends in the business from the comfort of his own garage. The aim is to offer a laid-back feel while they all just chat about their lives, their jobs, and everything about the world in general. Sometimes, he’ll take the show on the road, but the focus is in his garage.
The question for many is whether it’s really needed. Look, we’re obviously going to tune in for Davidson — who doesn’t love him? — but the podcast space is getting crowded. And quite honestly, this isn’t a podcast. This is more like a talk show, and it’s not going to be something to put on during the commute, which is what we all use podcasts for, right?
The Pete Davidson Show will premiere on Friday, Jan. 30 on Netflix.
