Is The Late Show with Stephen Colbert new tonight, December 6?
By Matt Moore
Is just a weekend or something more keeping The Late Show with Stephen Colbert off the air this week? Here’s what late-night TV fans should expect to see tonight on CBS.
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert hasn’t delivered a new episode this week, missing out on the departure of Representative George Santos. And now with Kevin McCarthy announcing his plans to leave Congress, it seems like a really good time to hear from Stephen Colbert.
Unfortunately, that won’t happen on Wednesday night. There will not be a new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight.
The comedian continues to follow the advice of his doctors. He’s currently resting and recovering from surgery following a ruptured appendix. It has now been a week and a half of shows that have been canceled due to Colbert’s medical emergency.
We’re still waiting to hear when he’ll be back on the air. However, CBS isn’t expecting Colbert to be back for the remainder of the week.
