The Late Show with Stephen Colbert made its triumphant return to television this week. So what should late-night TV fans expect to see tonight on CBS?

Stephen Colbert was back on the air with new episodes this week following a resolution to the Writers Guild of America strike. The Late Show host and his writers proved they didn’t have any rust, jumping headfirst into a recap of the unpredictable summer.

Fans were thrilled to have Colbert back and hear his perspective on the headlines. Unfortunately, it will be a few days before we get anything else from the comedian.

There will not be a new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight. Instead, CBS will rebroadcast Monday night’s episode featuring Neil deGrasse Tyson and Lois Cato.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert typically doesn’t air new episodes on Friday. So even though it’s coming off a four-month hiatus, the show won’t be looking to make up for lost time by delivering five shows a week.

What to watch instead of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert‘s official YouTube channel has clips of Stephen Colbert’s monlogues, desk pieces, and interviews from this week. If you missed anything, you can catch up on Colbert saying goodbye to Kevin McCarthy, chatting with John Oliver, and more.

Unfortunately, the options for new late-night TV content are limited tonight. Real Time with Bill Maher is new. Keegan Michael Key and Elle Key will be on to discuss their new book on the history of sketch comedy.

Over on NBC, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon will be new as well. Retired NFL star J.J. Watt, actor Eric McCormack, and Killer Mike with Robert Glasper and Eryn Allen Kane are scheduled to appear.

Meanwhile, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Late Night with Seth Meyers will air repeat episodes. The Late Show with Stephen Colbert returns with new episodes on Monday.
