Jimmy Kimmel reviews Donald Trump’s new website
By Matt Moore
Donald Trump is back online. The former president launched a new website and Jimmy Kimmel has combed through it to issue a review.
After being very online during his entire presidency, Donald Trump has been relatively silent. He was banned from Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, and Instagram following the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol. The former president was relegated to issuing statements through his office that were nothing more than glorified tweets.
It led to speculation that Trump would launch his own social media platform and return his direct line of communication to his followers. While that remains to be seen, we now have 45office.com. The new website is all about Donald and Melania Trump and honors their time in the White House.
Jimmy Kimmel took it upon himself to look through the website and offer his thoughts. If your curious about what’s on 45office.com, let Kimmel save you a click:
Jimmy Kimmel compares Donald Trump to a birthday clown
Right off the bat, Jimmy Kimmel was not impressed by Donald Trump’s domain name. For someone so keen on branding, you’d think he’d come up with something better than “45office.com.” Kimmel jokes that it sounds like a site selling Microsoft Office.
It only gets worse from there as Kimmel describes the site as a fanpage Trump created for himself. It is full of flattering reviews of Trump’s accomplishments in office along with photographs of the former president meeting with Kim Jong Un, kissing babies, and signing documents.
What Kimmel finds most amusing is the option to request a greeting from Donald Trump or Melania Trump. The late night comedian notes that it’s a MAGA version of Cameo that even lets you get condolences from the Trumps.
The website also proves that Donald Trump is still obsessed with crowd sizes. You can request an appearance by the former president but he needs to know how many people will be there and if any other notable attendees are on the guest list.
Kimmel sums it up by joking that in less than three months, Donald Trump went from being president of the United States to a bookable birthday clown. But anyone who has watched Jimmy Kimmel Live! over the past five years knows Kimmel has considered Trump a clown long before launching a website.
