Is The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon new tonight, December 22?

What should The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon fans expect to see tonight on NBC?
The holidays are always a special time on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. This year may be a little different but the late night television show is still doing its best to keep people in good spirits.
No studio audience has meant no Christmas sweater countdowns like in years past. And doing remote pieces is limited during the pandemic. Still, Jimmy Fallon has made the most of it, whether sending out special holiday “Thank You” notes or recording a Love Actually-inspired duet with Dua Lipa.
Fans will have to rely on those past memories tonight. There will not be a new episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Instead, NBC will reair its Thanksgiving episode. Comedian Jerry Seinfeld talked to Fallon about his book Is This Anything? before judging the “Seinfeld Challenge.” There was also a performance by Bad Bunny.

While at SNL, Fallon was part of the classic sketch “I Wish It Was Christmas Today.” Performing in a band alongside Horatio Sanz, Tracy Morgan, and Chris Kattan, the sketch was an immediate hit and recreated multiple times over the years.
So it was no surprise to see Fallon get the band back together on The Tonight Show a couple of years ago. The song got a nice boost from pop superstar Ariana Grande, even if her singing wasn’t necessary:
