Here are five guests coming to late night TV this week that fans won’t want to miss

Happy Thanksgiving week! Late night TV fans certainly have a lot to be thankful for this week as another excellent week of shows is scheduled across the board, boosted by some big-name guests.

Last week, we saw entertainers supplant the politicians and newspeople that had frequented late night shows in the wake of the presidential election. The election is still going on in President Donald Trump’s mind but late night has indicated it’s ready to move on.

Still, President Trump’s antics and those of his legal team still have a place in late night monologues. But the guest lineups reflect the increasingly busy entertainment industry and new season of shows and movies.

Here are Last Night On’s picks for the five late night TV guests fans won’t want to miss this week. Be sure to let us know who you’ll be tuning in to see.

Late night TV guests to watch: Amy Adams

Start your late night TV week with one of the most popular and talented actresses in Hollywood. Amy Adams checks in with Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday, Nov.

Adams will be promoting her film Hillbilly Elegy, a drama directed by Ron Howard and co-starring Glenn Close. After being released in select theaters earlier this month, the film is set to arrive on Netflix on Nov. 24. Adams’ performance has been praised by critics.

And given that Jimmy Kimmel is a huge comic book fan, don’t be surprised if he asks Adams about Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League. The movie that underperformed at the box office in 2017 is getting re-released on HBO Max next year with the director’s original story intact. It means fans will once again see Adams as Lois Lane.

Late night TV guests to watch: Barack Obama

Few guests make the must-see list in back-to-back lists. But few guests are former presidents of the United States. On Tuesday, Nov. 24, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert welcomes former President Barack Obama.

Last week, President Obama visited Jimmy Kimmel Live! to discuss his memoir A Promised Land. The book tour continues on Tuesday as he returns to The Late Show.

Kimmel’s interview got President Obama to take a few shots at President Trump. Colbert is likely to do the same given the late night host’s harsh criticism of the current president. Colbert has also proven to be a gifted interviewer and rises to the occasion when he has a guest of President Obama’s magnitude. It should be a very insightful and entertaining conversation.

Late night TV guests to watch: Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell

It’s two-for-one on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Tuesday, Nov. 24. The husband and wife acting duo of Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell will be the guests.

The pair have been married since 1983 and are two of the more beloved performers in the film industry. Thanks to careers spanning decades and covering nearly every possible genre, Hawn and Russell have earned fans of all ages.

For proof, look no further than their latest project. The couple co-star in The Christmas Chronicles 2 coming to Netflix on Nov. 25. Russell reprises his role as Santa Claus from the original. Hawn had a cameo as Mrs. Claus and now steps into a leading role.

Expect James Corden to ask a number of questions about their careers before getting into what it was like working side by side on a Christmas movie.

Late night TV guests to watch: Chris Rock

We’re sticking with The Late Late Show for the next guest to watch. Chris Rock chats with James Corden on Wednesday, Nov. 25.

2020 has been a successful year from a professional standpoint for Rock. He hosted the season 46 premiere of Saturday Night Live, helping to welcome the show back to Studio 8H and get some of the highest ratings in years. Rock also stars in the fourth season of Fargo set to conclude on Nov. 29.

Corden is sure to discuss Fargo with Rock as well as get the comedian’s thoughts on life post-election and during the pandemic. Fans also may get some details on Spiral, another installment in the Saw franchise that will see Rock star alongside Samuel L. Jackson. The movie is scheduled for a May 2021 release.

Late night TV guests to watch: Jerry Seinfeld

Close out your late night TV week with another all-time great comedian. Jerry Seinfeld returns to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, Nov. 26 for a special Thanksgiving episode.

Seinfeld is promoting his book Is This Anything? that features every joke he’s ever written and performed in his stand-up career. Considering that his career basically started on The Tonight Show, it makes for an appropriate place to promote the book.

Seinfeld and Jimmy Fallon will also reveal their picks for The Seinfeld Challenge. This was a contest in which fans were encouraged to film themselves performing Seinfeld’s material from the book. It should be fun to see how creative fans got and whether or not they can make Seinfeld laugh.
