Is your favorite late-night television back with new shows this week?

The summer months can always be hit or miss when it comes to late-night television’s schedule. And with only a few weeks left in the season, some shows are squeezing in one last vacation while others are back to work.

Fans have already seen some changes to late-night over the past few weeks. Shows like ConanThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and The Late Late Show with James Corden have finally moved out of the house and into theaters and studios. It’s a sign that things are getting back to normal but also a reminder that we’re by no means out of the woods yet.

Typically, the closer we get to fall, the more important late-night television becomes in marketing television series and movies. The pandemic has delayed production and release for several titles but there is still new content coming to networks and streaming services. And that means the stars are coming to late-night TV.

With that in mind, let’s look at who’s on and who’s off this week. We’ll also give you a heads up on the guests to watch for each show.

This week’s late-night TV schedule on CBS

The number one late-night show is back again this week. Fans will get all-new episodes of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

The week will be dedicated to the Democratic National Convention as Stephen Colbert is set to go live each night after the DNC. You can read a full preview of the week right here. Some pretty big names from the political world will be joining The Late Show so interested fans won’t want to miss a minute this week.

The Late Late Show with James Corden is also back this week. It returned to its CBS studio in Los Angeles last week after an extended break preceded by episodes airing from James Corden’s garage.

The show doesn’t waste any time bringing in some big-name stars. Monday night features Bryan Cranston, out promoting his new film The One and Only Ivan coming to Disney+. Then fans can catch Joseph Gordon-Levitt on Tuesday and Ethan Hawke on Wednesday.

Fans should remember that the exact start times for both CBS late-night shows may not be exact this week. The Late Show will go live depending on when the Democratic National Convention ends each night with The Late Late Show following.

This week’s late-night TV schedule on ABC

Jimmy Kimmel’s summer vacation continues this week. But that doesn’t mean Jimmy Kimmel Live! won’t be brand new. The show’s summer of guest hosts continues this week with new shows.

Last week’s guest hosts continued to set the bar pretty high for those who follow. Dua Lipa, Sarah Cooper, and Rob Lowe all did very well while filling in for Kimmel.

On Monday night, it’s actress Kerry Washington’s turn. She’ll interview her Little Fires Everywhere co-star Reese Witherspoon. Washington returns on Tuesday night to host and interview politician Stacy Abrams.

Wednesday, actor Ben Platt takes center stage as guest host. He’ll be followed by Anthony Anderson on Thursday who returns to the gig after getting things started earlier this summer.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs at 11:35 PM ET on ABC.

This week’s late-night TV schedule on NBC

It’s more good news for late-night TV fans over on NBC. The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon will be all new this week, too.

Jimmy Fallon, The Roots, and a small crew have spent the past couple weeks back in 30 Rock. It has definitely changed the vibe of the show. It has helped to hear Fallon get an actual reaction to his jokes, even if it is coming from the band and crew.

Fallon’s interviews have remained a strength of the show even while being conducted remotely. This week, fans will hear from Tiffany Haddish on Monday, Hugh Jackman on Tuesday, and Rachel Maddow on Thursday.

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs at 11:35 PM ET.

Late Night with Seth Meyers will also be back this week. It will be the last week of shows from Seth Meyers’ in-law’s house so it could spell the final days of the Sea Captain.

Fans can expect Meyers to cover the Democratic National Convention as well as President Donald Trump’s response. As always, “A Closer Look” segments will be the must-see content from Late Night.

Saturday Night Live fans will have an added interest in Late Night‘s interviews this week. Seth Meyers is set to talk with Jason Sudeikis on Monday and Kenan Thompson on Thursday, both of whom have new sitcoms to promote.

Late Night with Seth Meyers airs at 12:35 AM ET.

A Little Late with Lilly Singh remains in reruns. The show wrapped up season one back in May but has been renewed for a second. This week’s repeats feature interviews with Larry Wilmore, Nikki and Brie Bella, and John Cena.

A Little Late with Lilly Singh airs at 1:35 AM ET.

The rest of late-night TV’s schedule this week

Things are looking mostly positive for the rest of late-night television’s schedule this week. Fans won’t have to look very hard for new shows.

The Daily Show with Trevor Noah will continue with its remote episodes. You can catch those on Comedy Central at 11:00 PM ET.

Things are a little different over on TBS. Conan will be airing repeats all week. You can revisit his interviews with Lauren Lapkus on Monday and Chris Redd on Wednesday. Conan airs at 11:00 PM ET.

However, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee is on the schedule with a new episode. You can watch that show at 10:30 PM ET.

Over on HBO, both Real Time with Bill Maher and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver are expected to close out the week with new shows. Check back with Last Night On for previews for both programs later in the week.
