Here are the late night TV guests fans should watch this week

Summer may be in full swing but the season doesn’t quite look and feel the same in 2020. Blockbusters have been held out of the theaters and concerts have been put on hold. But in the world of late night television, things are slowly starting to return to normal. And shows are getting a boost from some big-name guests this week.

Conan O’Brien got the ball rolling when it came to a return to “normal” a few weeks ago. He moved the production of Conan from his house to the Largo theater in Los Angeles. The move helped out a venue hit hard by the restrictions put in place during the pandemic. Conan starts its third week at Largo tonight with Black Monday star Don Cheadle as its guest.

Then Jimmy Fallon had a homecoming of sorts last week. The Tonight Show got the go-ahead from New York City to return to its studio at Rockefeller Center. Fallon did a week of shows with The Roots and a scaled-back crew in what was a positive sign for New York’s future.

We’ll have to wait to see when The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Late Night with Seth Meyers get back to a studio in New York City. Out in Los Angeles, Jimmy Kimmel Live! continues to be filmed from a rental house as guest hosts fill in for Jimmy Kimmel during his summer vacation.

But no matter where these shows are filmed this week, fans can expect to see some of their favorite celebrities and headline-makers sit down for interviews. With that in mind, here are Last Night On’s picks for the five late night TV guests to watch this week.
