Late night TV guest to watch: David Schwimmer

David Schwimmer is returning to sitcoms this summer. Fans can hear all about it when the actor is on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, July 20.

Schwimmer is going back to the network that helped make him a household name. The former Friends star will be promoting Intelligence, his new comedy streaming on NBC’s Peacock service. Schwimmer plays a U.S. National Security Agency agent sent to Great Britain’s Government Communications Headquarters. The British sitcom originally aired on Sky One before Peacock picked it up for American audiences.

The last time Schwimmer was a series regular on television was the 2016 crime drama Feed the Beast. He followed that up with guest spots on Will & Grace during season 10. In reviews of Intelligence, critics have indicated that Friends fans should approve of Schwimmer’s performance.

On The Tonight Show, Schwimmer should discuss what he liked about the project and what it was like to play up this style of comedy. And as always, fans can expect at least one Friends question. Lisa Kudrow already revealed that the Friends reunion special for HBO Max has a filming schedule. Tune in to The Tonight Show to see what details Schwimmer can add.
