Is Saturday Night Live new tonight, November 30?
By Matt Moore
Should fans expect to see a brand new episode of Saturday Night Live tonight on NBC?
Thanksgiving has come and gone. Black Friday has come and gone. That means it is Saturday and for late night television fans, that means it is time for Saturday Night Live.
Saturday Night Live has of course been celebrating the past two days as well over the show’s 45 year history. Thanksgiving sketches, like all holiday sketches, are among the most popular that the show has produced over the years.
Black Friday has certainly become a bigger and bigger part of the holiday weekend. So it is not surprising that Saturday Night Live has had some fun with the shopping event, too.
But with the holidays both official and unofficial out of the way, it is time for the show to turn its attention back to season 45. Will Ferrell hosted last week and his return was well-received among fans. The show may have been overcrowded with cameos, including Tracy Morgan, Fred Armisen, Maya Rudolph, and Ryan Reynolds, but Ferrell in a vacuum was as entertaining as ever.
So will Saturday Night Live look to build more momentum this week? Or will the show be off for the Thanksgiving holiday?
There will not be a new episode of Saturday Night Live for Nov. 30. The cast, crew, writers, and staff have been off this week for the holiday, per usual. The break should give everyone a chance to recharge and reload heading into what should be an incredible stretch of shows.
Saturday Night Live returns Dec. 7 with host Jennifer Lopez. She will be followed on Dec. 14 by host Scarlett Johansson, who has a much more personal connection to SNL these days. Then fans will be treated to the Christmas episode on Dec. 21 hosted by the legend Eddie Murphy.
So don’t worry, Saturday Night Live fans. There may be no new episode tonight but the future of season 45 is bright. Keep checking Last Night On for more updates, news, and highlights.
