With the reveal of Lando Calrissian as a pansexual, Stephen Colbert took to The Late Show to look at the sexual history of other Star Wars characters.

Now this is just bizarre…

Recently, it was revealed by Solo writers that Lando Calrissian (played by Donald Glover in the soon to be released movie) is a pansexual. For anyone unaware, this means he’s attracted to people regardless of their gender or sexual identity. It’s an interesting reveal, but it’s not like it’s so unusual in the Star Wars canon where other characters have their own sexual histories.

Last night on The Late Show, Stephen Colbert got into the reveal of Lando. He used the opportunity to look at the sexual history of other Star Wars characters. Though, of course, the segment is a roof, showing moments which are not actually sexual, just sexually suggestive. This includes playing classic adult movie music while R2-D2 is repairing machinery.

Colbert also questions the controversy in potentially seeing people of the same sex kiss in a Star Wars film, when no one seemed to care about brother and sister Luke and Leia having a smooch. Finally, Darth Vader’s choice of “safe word” is also revealed.

You can catch Lando in the movie Solo when it hits theaters on May 25, 2018. As for Colbert, he can be found on your television set every weeknight! The Late Show with Stephen Colbert airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. EST on CBS.
