The amazing Alec Baldwin returned to Saturday Night Live last night as Donald Trump for the cold open skit, holding a press conference with Baltic leaders.

Whenever Alec Baldwin stops by Saturday Night Live, you know you’re in for something great!

Last night, Chadwick Boseman hosted the new episode of SNL with Cardi B as the musical guest. In the cold open sketch at the start of the program, however, a certain Emmy winner would appear for his performances on SNL. Of course, i’m talking about Baldwin back in character as the president, Donald Trump!

In this skit, Trump holds a press conference to meet with the leaders of the Baltic states — played by Kate McKinnon, Alex Moffat, and Heidi Gardner. In typical Trump fashion, he comes out rambling, cracking many jokes about the latest goings-on of the president. He begins by pulling out a prepared speech for what he plans to say, reading to himself, “Don’t congratulate Putin… oh wait, that’s a note to me.” Of course, that’s a dig at Trump’s recent blunder in which he congratulated Vladimir Putin for winning an unopposed election.

After struggling through the speech, Trump decides to freestyle. Of course, the first thing he does then is congratulate Vladimir Putin. The president then notes that despite congratulating Putin, nobody’s ever been tougher on Russia than him… including Hitler.
