Jimmy Kimmel weighs in on Donald Trump vs. Jay-Z feud
By Jeremy Dick
President Donald Trump and rapper Jay-Z have been having a bit of a feud, and Jimmy Kimmel couldn’t help but respond last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Donald Trump and Jay-Z aren’t getting along, but Jimmy Kimmel finds the whole thing pretty amusing…
Last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kimmel brought up the recent squabble between the politician and the musician. Jay-Z was apparently on CNN on Saturday night, and said some less than flattering things about the president. Of course, Trump was not very happy about this, so he did what he does best by jumping on Twitter to offer a condescending response.
“Somebody please inform Jay-Z that because of my policies, Black Unemployment has just been reported to be at the LOWEST RATE EVER RECORDED!” Trump boasts in his tweet. Of course, though it’s an attempt at a brag, it only just makes the president look sillier, as Kimmel points out.
“I don’t know what policies he’s talking about. He didn’t even get a piece of major legislation passed until December,” Kimmel explains. The Jimmy Kimmel Live host goes on to mention how black unemployment has been steadily going down since all the way back in 2010. What this means, of course, is that the credit really would have to go back to Barack Obama. “The credit for lower black unemployment, ironically, goes to an unemployed black guy,” Kimmel quips.
