Mark Salling, the former star of Glee who recently pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography, has been found dead of an apparent suicide.

The Glee alum was 35 years old.

For six seasons, Mark Salling played bad boy Puck on the FOX musical series Glee. Though his future looked bright, his life and career both took a turn for the worse after Salling’s arrest for possession of child pornography. Recently, Salling pleaded guilty to possessing thousands of illicit images, and was due to be sentenced for these crimes in March. He was expected to face between four to seven years in prison, would be required to register as a sex offender upon release.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Salling has been found dead from an apparent suicide. It seems that the exact circumstances, such as the method, are not entirely clear at this point. The Los Angeles police were not able to publicly comment on Salling’s death yet, but an official statement is likely to be coming soon.

It goes without saying that there are a lot of people who aren’t going to miss Salling. Having admitted to the disturbing charges against him, it’s impossible to see the once-promising star the same way again. From start to end, the whole situation is tragic, and watching reruns of the show is going to definitely feel weird during any of his scenes, as it’s impossible not to think about what all has happened.
