The sexual misconduct allegations against Aziz Ansari seem to be blurring the lines as depicted in a sketch on last night’s Saturday Night Live.

Perhaps discussing Aziz Ansari over the table isn’t the best idea for dinner plans…

If you need a quick refresher (or if you somehow missed the story), the Master of None star became one of the newest celebrities involved in a sexual misconduct scandal. A woman who went on a date with Ansari went public with details about what happened, and the reactions from people are causing a divide as many aren’t sure how to take it. I won’t go through all the details here, but if you’re inclined, you can read all about it at babe.net.

That being said, the awkwardness of the topic was the focus of a new skit on last night’s Saturday Night Live with guest host Will Ferrell. With a group of friends gathered around a table at a restaurant, one woman makes the mistake of bringing up Ansari’s name. And it’s clear right away that nobody else even wants to approach the subject.

As each person tries to coyly talk about it, they’re being extra cautious with their words. Others are reminding them to be careful with every step. The joke here is that it seems whether you think Ansari is a total scumbag, or if this is just getting blown out of proportion, you’re going to make people upset with what you say regardless. Perhaps there’s just no right answer.
