Castlevania will return to Netflix with eight new episodes

Castlevania, original animated series from Netflix based on the fan favorite video game series, will be returning with eight all new episodes.

Four episodes for Season 1 was definitely not enough, so there’s twice as many for Season 2!

Courtesy of ScreenRant, we have learned that eight new episodes are on the way for Netflix’s Castlevania. This is fantastic news, given the short length of the first season. And we don’t have to wait too terribly long for more, as the summer of this year is the tentative plan for the release of the new episodes.

Despite the popularity of the game series, Castlevania has never had a proper adaptation until now. One of its primary characters in Simon Belmont appeared on the 80s cartoon Captain N, but that’s not quite the same thing. And that would be completely it, as no TV shows or movies have ever come out based on the games after all these years.

Of course, Season 1 became a big hit for Netflix when it premiered last year. After its success, Netflix is moving forward with plenty of new episodes, so those wondering what happens next can take comfort in that. Just hang on for a few more months for twice the episodes!
