Gotham producers at a recent comic con appearance have all but confirmed that Jerome will be returning sometime during Season 4 of the show.

Jerome’s return to Gotham is just a matter of time, and that time may be sooner than you think!

Every fan of Gotham certainly knows about Jerome Valeska, despite not having been in too many episodes at a time. He became one of the deadliest villains of the series, then was presumably killed only to come back even deadlier. But what’s most memorable about him is that he seems to be the show’s version of the Joker — all he’s missing is the clown get-up.

Lots of fans of the show love to hate Jerome, but after getting his face knocked off (literally), the man hasn’t been seen. It wasn’t necessarily revealed if he had died in this encounter, though we all know death is never permanent for anyone on Gotham. But there really hasn’t been any trace of him since.

Recently, at a comic con panel for the show, producers addressed Jerome and even hinted about when he’ll be coming back. Via ScreenRant, here’s one of the producers on Jerome’s current whereabouts and if we will see him again:

"“What I will say about Jerome is that Jerome is in Arkham right now, and when you think about Arkham’s record of keeping people locked up, we will probably see him again before the end of the year.”"

This is a strong hint that we’ll be seeing our old buddy Jerome busting out of Arkham Asylum sometime during the fourth season, which premieres later this year.
