HBO’s popular series Game of Thrones has several spin-off series in the works for the network, but we won’t be seeing them until the main show is over.

Fans of Game of Thrones will be able to further explore the world of Westeros in upcoming spin-off series for HBO. But don’t let that worry you — they’re not even going to focus on that until the parent series has its swan song.

HBO president of programming Casey Bloys tells Deadline that the network’s number one priority, above all else, is the final season for Game of Thrones. Bloys confirms that there are several spin-offs in the works (a whopping four of them, in fact), they will all remain on the shelf until after the series finale of GoT. The earliest we’ll be seeing them, Bloys insists, will be at least a year after the main show ends.

At this time, it’s being said that none of the current show’s characters will be present in any of the spin-offs. They’ll be taking place in different locations and time periods, making even a cameo appearance from somebody highly unlikely. We’ll have to see if an entirely new cast will be just as compelling as the ones we’re used to seeing on Sunday nights.

The next two seasons of Game of Thrones will be the final ones ever. Seasons 8 and 9 will each only have six episodes overall, though they’ll have longer run times.

For now, you can catch episodes of Season 7 every Sunday night when they premiere on HBO.
