Donald Trump is upset that Jeff Sessions can’t time travel
By Jeremy Dick
President Donald Trump is now distancing himself from Attorney General Jeff Sessions, expressing his frustration in the little guy’s inability to time travel.
Let me refresh your memory real quick on Jeff Sessions. Shortly after Donald Trump gave him the Attorney General gig, reports had come out of Sessions’ private meetings with Russian officials. When people started asking questions, Sessions chose to duck them by “recusing” himself from the investigation.
On The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Colbert played audio from a recent interview with Trump speaking on the matter. The Trumpster is clearly very upset with Sessions, citing how the A.G. recused himself shortly after getting the job. What seems to irk Trump the most is how Sessions had recused himself without telling Trump beforehand.
Trump adamantly declares that Sessions should have never recused himself. “If he was going to recuse himself,” Trump adds, “he should have told me before he took the job and I would have picked somebody else.” But for that to be possible, Sessions would have had to have known beforehand that he was going to be targeted by the Russian probe.
“It would have been impossible for Jeff Sessions to recuse himself because the thing he recused himself from hasn’t happened yet!” Colbert shouts. He jokes that the only way Sessions could have done so is if he traveled back in time to “teach Chuck Berry’s cousin about rock and roll!”
