Is Last Week Tonight with John Oliver new tonight, May 28th?

It’s the 28th of May, 2017, and it’s also a Sunday. Does that mean there’s going to be an all new episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver tonight?

You are no doubt here to find out the answer to that question. I won’t keep you waiting any longer then. The unfortunate answer is NO, John Oliver won’t return tonight with an all new episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver on HBO.

That’s obviously horrible news for fans of the series. But I have some good news for you to even things out. Although other shows are concluding their current seasons, Oliver still has some time left to go. Season 4 of his HBO show won’t be finishing up until the beginning of July. We’ve still got another full month of new episodes to look forward to!

So although Oliver is taking this weekend off (it’s a holiday weekend after all), he’s not through just yet. He will be returning with all new episodes of the show at the normal time next week on June 4th. Then we’ll have him every weekend after that until July 2nd.

Last week, Oliver took on what he calls “Stupid Watergate”, referring to the Trump/Russia controversy. It was such an awesome take down that it makes Oliver’s absence tonight sting just a little bit. But he’ll be back at it, doing what he does best, as soon as next  week.

Again, there is NO NEW EPISODE of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver tonight. However the show returns next Sunday, June 4th, with all new episodes.
