Colbert names Trump himself as White House leaker

On The Late Show, Stephen Colbert says the mystery of the White House leaker has been solved, and it’s President Trump himself.
Kicking off his monologue on last night’s Late Show, host Stephen Colbert told viewers he had good news and bad news. Starting off with the bad news, he revealed the recent reports from The Washington Post that Donald Trump revealed highly classified information to top Russian officials last week.
“The good news — Trump found the leaker,” Colbert quickly adds. “That was fast.”
Colbert then goes into some of the details about Trump’s meeting with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. Apparently, the Trumpster went “off-script” and started telling them confidential details about an Islamic State terrorist threat. “That is unbelievable,” Colbert can’t help but say. “Trump had a script?!”
However, the Post couldn’t reveal exactly what all information had been shared. Trump and the Russians were using “code-word information”, according to an official. As Colbert puts it, “You have to say things like, ‘The package has been delivered,’ ‘The squirrel is in the basket,’ or ‘The idiot is in the Oval.'” I think we all know what that last one is, and many of us can agree.
