30 things we need to see in The Walking Dead Season 7B

2. Maggie taking on a leadership role
I don’t think anyone took that devastating season premiere any harder than Maggie. While both pregnant and very ill, she gets to witness Negan pulverize her husband into oblivion. Losing Glenn would be one thing, but seeing him get his head bashed in beyond recognition is something else. When nobody else even knew what to do, Maggie insisted that everyone needs to prepare for a fight.
After recuperating at the Hilltop, Maggie is already becoming popular in the community. The leader, Gregory, fears having her there in the event Negan finds out. But he’s definitely the only person who wants her gone. Jesus likes her a lot and Sasha has referenced how much the others there love Maggie.
One interesting reference Sasha would also make is what a little girl would say about Maggie. This child suggested that Maggie should “run for President” of the Hilltop. You know what? That’s actually not a bad idea. She’s no coward the way Gregory is, and it seems the people there would rather have her in charge. Having Gregory running things is the settlement’s weak spot, and putting in someone tough as nails like Maggie would be great to see.
