When does Jimmy Kimmel Live return for new episodes in 2017?
By Hector Cruz
Jimmy Kimmel returns with a Bachelor-themed special for his first show of 2017.
Jimmy Kimmel Live will be back tonight after a brief holiday hiatus with a primetime special that will serve as an after show for the premiere of the latest season of The Bachelor. During the episode, titled, “Jimmy Kimmel Live: Here for the Right Reasons,” the host will interview new bachelor Nick Viall, who will also serve as a guest on the show’s regular late-night installment later that night, along with Joel McHale.
Tuesday’s show will include an appearance by Empire star Tariji P. Henson, who currently appears in the film Hidden Figures, where she plays real-life NASA mathematician Katherine Johnson. The movie has been a source of controversy in recent days after gospel singer Kim Burrell, who sings “I See a Victory” with Pharrell Williams on the film’s soundtrack, was caught on tape making disparaging remarks about gay people. Williams and some of the Hidden Figures cast members like Octavia Spencer and Janelle Monae have since distanced themselves from her comments on social media.
Also on tomorrow’s show will be Jovan Adepo, who stars in the second and upcoming final season of HBO’s The Leftovers. Additionally, he plays Denzel Washington’s son in the new film Fences, based on the play of the same name. Singer Mike Posner will close out the episode with a performance.

Lastly, on Thursday Kimmel will interview La La Land actress Emma Stone, who recently received a Golden Globe nomination, and Joel Edgerton, who stars in the buzz worthy drama Loving.
