Matthew Gray Gubler (Nevada)

Actor Matthew Gray Gubler came into this world in Las Vegas, Nevada, perhaps solidifying his future as a star from the start. Gubler has appeared in tons of feature films. This includes The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou and (500) Days of Summer. Interestingly enough, he also provides the voice of Simon in all of those Alvin and the Chipmunks live action films. Hollywood manages to keep Gubler pretty busy.

Still, these movies aren’t likely where you’ll recognize Gubler the most. The young actor appears as  the criminal profiler Dr. Spencer Reid on the CBS drama series Criminal Minds. He started on the show when it began in 2005, and remains on the program to this day appearing in over 250 episodes. If you’ve been channel surfing at all at any time in the past decade, chances are you’ve seen Gubler quite a few times.

Aside from performing in front of the camera in films and TV shows, Gubler does work behind the scenes as well. He is a filmmaker who has created his own documentary. He has also done plenty of directorial work, such as helming many episodes of Criminal Minds. The guy is simply a man of many talents.
