Kimmel asks Trump supporters to wish Hillary Clinton a happy birthday
By Hector Cruz
Jimmy Kimmel Live took to the streets to force Donald Trump supporters to say something nice about Hillary Clinton to celebrate her 69th birthday.
In honor of Hillary Clinton’s birthday on Wednesday, Jimmy Kimmel and his crew went on the streets of Los Angeles to find people who identified as fans of Donald Trump so they could ask them to say something nice about the Democratic nominee, which proved to be a difficult task.
Kimmel began by joking that Clinton was spending her 69th birthday “drinking the blood of her enemies and focus testing gift ideas” as she does every year. He then mocked her for wishing herself a happy birthday on Twitter by tweeting out a childhood photograph with the caption, “Happy Birthday to this future president.”
“Is it appropriate to tweet happy birthday to yourself? Isn’t that like liking your own status update on Facebook?” he asked, adding that then you’re “on the hook” for other holidays like Mother’s Day where you have to make yourself breakfast in bed.

Kimmel then introduced the clip where Trump supporters were asked to give a nice message to Clinton on her special day. The first two participants struggled to complete the task, while one woman questioned whether it was even really her birthday, “or if she’s lying about that too.”
A man then offered that she’s “a great con artist, and she’s great at deceiving the public,” while a blonde lady was more direct, labeling the former secretary of state as “the devil.”
When the Trump backers were told that the nice words were to commemorate Clinton’s birthday, they still refused the request.
“She didn’t call and wish me a happy birthday, so no nothing,” said a woman in a Cubs shirt. Others said they hoped she gets “what’s coming to you,” and wished that she was arrested.
The clip ended with one compliment from the aforementioned blonde woman, who said she liked Clinton’s hair, after calling her a “liar and a murderer.”

According to the Wall Street Journal, Clinton spent most of the day on the campaign trail in Florida. She was surprised in the morning with a birthday cake by her team, before traveling to Palm Beach State College where the audience sang “Happy Birthday” to her. She used the occasion to tell the crowd that one of best gifts she could receive would be to send Sen. Marco Rubio’s Democratic opponent, Patrick Murphy, to the U.S. Senate come Election Day. The newspaper also pointed out that if Clinton were to become president, she would be the second oldest person to assume the office after only Ronald Reagan. The same would be true of Trump, who turned 70 in June.
