It’s all about the movie Wicked: For Good this week, as the movie comes out in theaters on Friday, Nov. 21. It’s not surprising that The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon will feature guests from the movie throughout the week.
The Tonight Show is an NBCUniversal production, and the Wicked movies are Universal productions. So, it’s not surprising to find out that an NBC talk show is going to go big when it comes to a Universal movie. They’re all the same company! And we have a lot to look forward to.
There’s a bit of confusion this week
Now, I will say that there is some confusion over the schedule this week. NBC originally shared that Cynthia Erivo would take to the hot seat on Monday, Nov. 17. However, her appearance has been moved to Wednesday, Nov. 19, according to the listings on the NBC press site, with Michelle Yeoh switching to appear on Monday night instead.
TV Guide also has Michelle Yeoh listed as the guest for Monday, Nov. 17. Appearances can be switched depending on schedules.
The good news is Tuesday, Nov. 18 will still have Ariana Grande as the guest to talk all about Glinda in Wicked: For Good. Whichever way the schedule will work this week, we’re getting a week packed with Wicked updates and chats.

The rest of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon will be reruns
Then on Thursday, Nov. 20 and Friday, Nov. 21, there will be reruns. This isn’t too surprising when you consider that the Universal overhead will be focused on Wicked: For Good.
On Thursday, Nov. 20, we’ll get a rerun of the Nov. 5 episode that included Jennifer Lawrence and Tom Felton. On Friday, Nov. 21, it’s the perfect time to listen to Brad Paisley’s hilarious Christmas song again, as well as getting some insights from Ben Stiller, as it’s a rerun of the Nov. 12 episode.
There won’t be an episode airing on Sunday, Nov. 23. The previous Sunday episode was a one-off special, and it may have been linked to the upcoming focus on Wicked.
Don’t forget that Wicked: For Good will be out in theaters on Friday, Nov. 21. There will be some early screeners in select theaters starting on Thursday, Nov. 20.
