NBC is going hard on getting its comedies off the ground. While Stumble will get the post-Winter Olympics Closing Ceremony slot, the post-Saturday Night Live slot at the end of the month is going to another new comedy on the network.

There is only one new episode of Saturday Night Live airing in February, and it’s going to be a big one. Hudson Williams will host the episode, surely bringing some Heated Rivalry skits on the way. However, it’s the post-SNL timeslot that we’re interested in right now.

Which show will get the post-Saturday Night Live slot?

NBC is giving the slot to The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins. The pilot episode will get a special encore, and it’s the perfect show to put on after the comedy sketch show. After all, Tracy Morgan leads the series, and he was on SNL back in the day!

The series has already premiered, getting the post-NFC Championship timeslot back in January. The series will officially premiere on Monday, Feb. 23, when we’ll get an encore of the pilot and then the second episode of the series. So, those who watch the encore after SNL for the first time will need to go to Peacock for the second episode.

While this is a fun timeslot, it’s not always the best to get viewers on the right shows. NBC has attempted it with both Stumble and Pete Davidson’s Bupkis, but neither didn’t quite pull in the views that NBC likely hoped for.

The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins is full of late night guests

This is a show that potentially belongs in the late night slot for a rerun, though. After all, it’s packed with late night connections, and not just with one star. The Daily Show hosts Michael Kosta and Ronny Chieng both guest star in the show, starting with the pilot episode.

Heidi Gardner from SNL will join the series for a couple of episodes later in the season. The first appearance will be in the middle of the season, and then the second appearance will be in the season finale.

The series has certainly already gained popularity thanks to its post-NFL slot in January. It is currently the most-watched show on the entire network, even ahead of the One Chicago shows. As this is a one-off and there’s a long break for the second episode, we will need to see if it manages to keep its viewership. It will air on Mondays after St. Denis Medical, which is the strongest comedy in the regular season, so it stands a chance.

The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins will air Mondays at 8:30/7:30c on NBC starting Monday, Feb. 23.
