One of the ways TV shows succeed is through an outstanding cast, and The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins understands that need. Not only is Tracy Morgan in the lead, but he’s joined by Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe.
Along with the rest of the outstanding cast, such as Erica Alexander and Bobby Moynihan, there are also some excellent guest stars to look out for. The Daily Show hosts Michael Kosta and Ronny Chieng are part of the guest cast, and we also have a Saturday Night Live alum to look forward to later in the season.
Heidi Gardner will take on a role, after her surprise exit from SNL in August 2025. She was one of the big names cut from the cast without warning after being on the comedy sketch series for eight seasons.
Heidi Gardner is part of The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins
Saturday Night Live’s Heidi Gardner will join the series for two episodes. We have a bit of time to wait for her first appearance, though, as it’s going to happen in the middle of the season. Then we’ll see her again in the season finale.
Gardner will play Tisha Basmati, a glamorous wife of Reggie’s long-time rival, according to Entertainment Weekly. She happens to hate Monica, who is Reggie’s ex-wife and managed, just as much as she hates Reggie, and she is going to show up to cause problems.
One of the ways is to drive a wedge between Reggie and his best friend, Rusty. By this point, Reggie’s image is likely to start changing thanks to the documentary that’s happening. It’s not clear if Reggie’s sports betting scandal affected her husband in some sort of way.
It’s certainly possible, as we know Reggie’s actions affected more than himself. It also affected the team, and we’ll get to see how his former coach was affected later in the season.
The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins got a special premiere
You may have missed the first episode of The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins. It aired after the NFC Divisional Game featuring the Rams and the Bears. As the game went into overtime, the comedy got a later start than initially planned, but it was still a great idea for NBC to get eyeballs on this comedy series.
There will be a rerun of the pilot episode on Monday, Feb. 23 at 8/7c, which was when it was initially set to premiere. The second episode will air straight after at 8:30/7:30c, which will become the regular timeslot following episodes of St. Denis Medical.
