The Late Show with Stephen Colbert schedule for the first week of February is out. Can you believe it’s the first week of February already?
There is some disappointing news, as The Late Show will take a week off during the Winter Olympics. At least it’s not as long as we feared considering The Tonight Show and Late Night are taking two weeks off. It will mean a week of reruns airing, but we’ll cope, right? This week’s scheduled guests are certainly a lot to look forward to.

Monday, February 2
The first day of the week sees another late night host joined Colbert. John Oliver from Last Week Tonight, will appear as a guest, where he’ll take part in the “Late Show Home Shopping” experience.
Of course, this appearance is to promote the return of his own show. Last Week Tonight with John Oliver season 13 premieres on Sunday, Feb. 15. The two will likely have some discussions about the future of late night TV, the potential Netflix-WBD merger, and much more.
Tuesday, February 3
The second night of the week is all about Crime 101, the new L.A. heist thriller that Mark Ruffalo stars in. He’ll he on the series to discuss his role in the movie, where he plays a relentless detective. We’re sure ot see some mentions of Task as well.
Then Father James Martin will come to the show to discuss his memoir, Work In Progress. This follows his journey of busboy to priest, giving us a look at some of the jobs he did and the important life lessons he learned along the way.
Wednesday, February 4
Hump Day is all about Sir Ian McKellen. It’s not 100% clear what he is there to talk about, but there’s plenty of work to revisit and a lot of topics of conversation to have.
After that, Laura Benanti will make a special appearance, and we’ll get the first musical guest of the night. I’m With Her will join Colbert to play their American folk music.

Thursday and Friday are still to be confirmed
Thursday, Feb. 5 doesn’t have an update just yet. This isn’t all that uncommon. There is slated to be an episode, but we have seen schedules change in the past. We’ve also seen unannounced guests make special appearances at the last minute, so we’ll be sure to keep an eye on this one.
As for Friday, Feb. 6, we are expecting a rerun. The details of the rerun haven’t been set just yet.
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert airs on weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on CBS.
