As we get closer to the end of 2025, we start to see some of the late night shows take a break. The Daily Show is confirmed to take a break after this week’s set of episodes, and you will not want to miss out.
Along with the week of guests set, the final week of hosts is confirmed for the 2025 episodes. Of course, Jon Stewart will take the Monday night slot, as he has done since coming back, and we’ll get to see Ronny Chieng, Desi Lydic, and Michael Kosta fill up the rest of the week.

Monday, December 8
The first night of the week sees Stewart air his final broadcast of 2025. Don’t worry; he’ll be back in 2026, as he’s already confirmed to have renewed his contract for next year.
He’ll chat with Malala Yousafzai, who last appeared on The Daily Show in 2019 when Trevor Noah was still the host. Yousafzai is a Pakistani education activist, and with everything going on in the Middle East right now, this is the perfect time for him to come back onto the show.
There will also be a half-hour special of Jordan Klepper Fingers the Pulse: Give the Man a Prize. That means, we’re not completely without Klepper during the last week of new episodes.

Tuesday, December 9
Then on Tuesday, we’ll get to see Ronny Chieng return. He’ll talk to Cory Doctorow, who is promoting his new book, “Enshittification: Why Everything Suddenly Got Worse and What to Do About It.” Doctorow is in favorite of liberalizing copyright laws, and he wants to push the Creative Commons organization more, which is something that many of his books have looked into and even used!
Chieng didn’t get to host an episode during the previous week, so we had an idea that he would be back for the final week of new episodes.

Wednesday, December 10
Then we’ll see Desi Lydic return to The Daily Show desk, and she did get an episode last week. It’s always a pleasure to have her on, and she’ll interview Annie Leibovitz.
Leibovitz will discuss her 2025 edition of Annie Leibovitz: Women, which was released back in November. It is an updated edition of her past work, which is so important as new women of importance rise up in all spheres of work, whether its as Supreme Court justices, astronauts, and even coal miners. This is a celebration of all women.

Thursday, December 11
Finally, Michael Kosta returns after taking the previous week off from hosting. He will chat with Lonnie Thompson, the paleoclimatologist whose work was profiled in 2023’s Canary.
With climate change still a hot topic, he’ll chant about the ice caps and mountain glaciers, and so much more. Whatever you think about climate change, there is always something to learn from Thompson.
The Daily Show airs Monday–Thursday at 11/10c on Comedy Central.
