Just because The Daily Show has come to the end of another season (and another year), it doesn’t mean you have to be completely without it. The hosts have put together something to listen to as New Year’s Eve approaches.
After all, the end of the year is a chance to look back at everything that happened throughout the last 12 months. With The Daily Show running regular episodes throughout that time, there’s plenty to work with, but they also want the break in between seasons. That means putting something together that can be prerecorded.

Listen to The Daily Show’s podcast
On Monday, Dec. 15, The Daily Show released its 2025 Year End Precap Hostravaganza, which featured all the hosts from the series, except for Jon Stewart. The co-hosts break down the biggest stories from the “Very Normal Year” that 2025 was.
This is a great chance to look back at the news and everything that happened. After all, it’s sometimes crazy to think of what we went through at the beginning of the year, and this was a big one with a lot of change happening at the White House.
Then, the co-hosts go on to discuss their predictions for 2026. That is if we get through to next year.

The Daily Show podcast is a great addition to the series
This 48-minute episode is just one of many. One of the great things about The Daily Show is that it has a bunch of episodes for those who prefer to listen rather than watch.
You can sometimes get exclusive content via the podcast as well. Each regular episode is around 30 minutes long, covering topics like FIFA giving Trump a made-up award and Pete Hegseth discussing the attack on the boat that has led to allegations of war crimes. There are new episodes when the season is in full swing, so you’ve got more than 2,000 episodes to get through right now!
The best thing is you can get this podcast wherever you get your other ones, whether it’s through Apple Music, Amazon Music, Spotify, or another platform. You get to listen on the go at a time that suits you.
As we’ve mentioned, The Daily Show is on a break now. The good news is that it will be back in January, kickstarting The Daily Show season 31 on Monday, Jan. 5. Jon Stewart will be back after negotiating his contract for another year, and we’ll see co-hosts throughout the rest of the week, as he’ll only be back on Mondays as we’ve seen since his return in 2024.
The Daily Show is available to stream on Paramount+.
