Over the last several weeks, Donald Trump's interactions with the late-night talk shows have garnered a slew of different headlines. Jimmy Kimmel hit back at Trump after he was suspended from his talk show and returned soon after. Stephen Colbert hinted at a possible Trump connection to his talk show surprisingly getting canceled. On top of those two instances, Bill Maher even compared Trump to Taylor Swift.

Just like many of his peers, Jon Stewart hasn't been shy about cracking jokes about Trump when he has hosted episodes of The Daily Show. In fact, Stewart has regularly found his own ways to joke about the President of the United States. One recent example of that came when Stewart recently mocked Trump for accepting the FIFA Peace Prize.

Jon Stewart took aim at Donald Trump and the FIFA Peace Prize

In December 2025, Donald Trump was presented with the first-ever FIFA Peace Prize during a presentation that was watched all over the world. After Gianni Infantino presented him with a medal to wear around his neck, Trump seemed to beam with pride as he stood by a certificate and a trophy that were also part of the prize.

Days later, on Dec. 8, 2025, Jon Stewart didn't hold back as he mocked Trump for accepting the award during an episode of The Daily Show. For example, Stewart pretended to be taken aback that Trump was selected to get the prize that he contends was created to placate the President. After acting surprised, Stewart suggested the FIFA Peace Prize should be given an alternate name.

“I can't believe he won. Oh my god. I'm so surprised. Oh, my God! He won the prize specifically created to appease him. The FIFA Appease Prize.”

After The Daily Show then showed footage of Trump looking happy as he accepted the award, Stewart mocked the President for his excitement over the award. While joking about how excited he believed the President was, the host contended that Trump was "thirsty" for the recognition. Still not done, Stewart went on to mock the design of the FIFA Peace Prize trophy in a very crude fashion. The Daily Show host even pretended to be part of the team of people that designed what he described as an invented "prize just to satisfy some fragile egomaniac."

As his commentary on the FIFA Peace Prize ended, Stewart put the President being given the award in a larger context. Stewart did this by contrasting Trump being celebrated for being peaceful with coverage of the President's moves against Venezuela and that country's President, Nicolás Maduro.

The Daily Show airs Monday-Thursday at 11/10c on Comedy Central.
