After taking a week off, South Park is back with an all-new episode. This one has a Christmas theme, making it clear that this is the last episode of the year.
That’s not to worry! We will get more episodes of the animated comedy series. South Park was renewed for five years, with a guaranteed 10 episodes per year, and we’re in the middle of that deal. We have episodes guaranteed all the way through to 2027!
And South Park season 28 episode 5 is going to do what the series has been doing best this year: poking fun at the current administration.
What time is South Park season 28 episode 5 on Comedy Central?
The new episode will arrive tonight, Wednesday, Dec. 10, and it’ll air at the usual time of 10/9c. Just in case you weren’t too sure, the promo for the episode makes it clear.
You can watch Comedy Central with your cable provider, or you can opt for it via YouTube TV and Fubo TV if you’ve cut the cord. However, Paramount makes it very easy to watch the shows across its networks. You can stream on Paramount+, with this particular episode dropping on Thursday, Dec. 11, around 3 a.m. ET/ 12 a.m. PT.
What to expect on South Park season 28 episode 5
The latest episode is Christmas-themed, and Stan is praying for a Christmas miracle. Isn’t that what everyone needs at this time of year? It’s just what people need in general right now, and it doesn’t matter where you look around the world!
The Christmas miracle doesn’t seem to be something that involves goodwill or hope, though. Instead, it’s all linked to the Antichrist, and it turns out that only a Christmas miracle can deliver him on time!
However, there are some ongoing jokes that are set to come up in the episode. The promo makes it clear that there will be some fun poked at the current administration, with President Donald Trump dressed up as Santa with Cartman voicing him. Then there’s VP JD Vance next to him dressed as an elf.

This is set to be the South Park season 28 finale
While there is nothing stating it just yet, we are expecting this to be the South Park season 28 finale. After all, 10 episodes have now aired in 2025 with this episode, and it makes sense to bring season 29 in 2026.
While the original thoughts were that season 29 would have 10 episodes, with the way the seasons are breaking down recently, we may get a five-episode season 29 and then a five-episode season 30 later in the year. Then 2027 should bring us seasons 31 and 32.
South Park airs tonight, Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 10/9c on Comedy Central.
