It’s Saturday night, and you know what that means. It’s all about Saturday Night Live, and the series is back with all-new episodes. Saturday, Jan. 17 marks the show’s return from its winter break.
There is plenty to look forward to when it comes to the series, and we have the details of the musical guest, host, and much more. Plus, we also know who will be hosting the next two episodes to round out January 2026.
What time is Saturday Night Live on NBC?
The episode will air at the usual time of 11:30 p.m. ET/PT tonight, Saturday, Jan. 17. If you don’t have cable, there are a few ways to watch NBC live, with YouTube TV being the most popular right now.
Yes, Fubo TV was once an option, and maybe it will be again in the near future. The negotiations between Fubo and NBC ended back in November, and all NBC channels went dark at that time. We’re hoping that the two sides can talk again soon!
However, there is some good news for those who end up watching it on streaming the following day. SNL heads to Peacock on Sundays, usually around 6 a.m. ET/3 a.m. PT.
Who will host SNL on January 17?
Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard will host the first episode of Saturday Night Live in 2026. This isn’t that surprising, considering the Netflix series came to an end on New Year’s Eve. Plenty of shows are running with Stranger Things interviews, especially when it comes to NBC with The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
This means there are sure to be some Stranger Things skits coming up. There has already been a touch on the series with Wolfhard’s tour around the SNL offices, and the promo for the week also has an “Eleven” joke. There’s plenty more to cover, though, including The Turning, It, and Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
Who is the musical guest on Saturday Night Live tonight?
As for the musical guests, it’s all about A$AP Rocky, who is there to promote his most recent album, “Don’t Be Dumb.” This is not his first time on the series, though, as he made a cameo during Donald Glover’s hosting duties.
He has also recently appeared in a number of movies, even acting as other characters rather than appearing as himself, including the most recent If I Had Legs I’d Kick You and Highest 2 Lowest from 2025. Maybe he’ll pop into some of Wolfhard’s skits during the night.
Saturday Night Live airs Saturdays at 11:30/10:30c on NBC.
