There’s a lot more of Real Time with Bill Maher to come, with the series recently landing a two-season renewal. However, before that is the new season. And there’s not long left to wait for it.
While announcing the exciting news that Real Time will be around until at least 2028, HBO also gave us the premiere date for Real Time season 24. There’s also a trailer for the new season, so we can see some of the guests he’ll have on the show.
When will Real Time with Bill Maher season 24 premiere?
Get Friday, Jan. 23 in your diary. Real Time with Bill Maher season 24 will premiere on that date at 10/9c on HBO. You’ll also be able to watch it on HBO Max at that time, and that’s where the episodes will stream afterward. One of the great things about this chat show is that it’s easy to catch up at a time that’s convenient for you.
Real Time has succeeded for a number of reasons, and one of those is the variety of guests that are on the show. Season 24 is going to be no different, with Maher having a mixture of one-on-one interviews and roundtable discussions, allowing for more opportunity and openness to debate.
The weekly, hour-long program is likely to have around 35 episodes to the season again, ending around the middle of November. That would follow patterns previously set over the last decade or so (not counting 2023 with the writers strike), so we could see season 24 end in November 2026 and then we’ll be ready for the confirmed 25th season!
Real Time with Bill Maher season 24 trailer
While announcing the premiere date, HBO also released the trailer for the season. We can see that Charlie Sheen, Kid Rock, and Jesse Eisenberg among the list of celebrities, politicians, commentators, comedians, and much more.
One of the great things about Maher is that he allows for the debate. He will have people from all sides of the political spectrum, and he is also a supporter of the Constitution, so he’s not afraid to call people out on it. In fact, there’s a clear moment in the trailer where it’s going to come up during the season as there are talks about President Donald Trump talking about running for a third term.
Maher also comments on how it’s either all the way on the Left or all the way on the Right, and there is no middle ground anymore. That is the way it seems for some people, and Real Time often helps to add in that middle ground through the debate. We may not always agree, but there’s a balance in discussions, and it’s important to listen to what people are saying.
Real Time with Bill Maher season 24 premieres on Friday, Jan. 23 at 10/9c on HBO.
