Jimmy Kimmel isn't new tonight, but he'll still be on late-night TV
By Matt Moore
There will not be a new episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! tonight, May 13. However, fans can still hear from Jimmy Kimmel on late-night TV.
Kimmel's ABC late-night TV show is on hiatus this week. Starting tonight, rerun episodes will run nightly during Kimmel's usual 11:35 p.m. ET timeslot.
But if you want to hear Kimmel talk about today's headlines and more, you're in luck. He'll be the first guest on tonight's brand-new episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers.
It's always entertaining when late-night hosts visit each other. Tonight will be even better after Kimmel and Meyers spent time co-hosting the Strike Force Five podcast during the writers' strike. Don't be surprised to hear some thunderbolt sound effects when Kimmel inevitably namedrops the podcast.
Hopefully, we can hear a few more behind-the-scenes stories about the podcast. Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert, and John Oliver also co-hosted the podcast. They haven't been shy about sharing stories about the experience during their on-air chats with each other.
Beyond that, Meyers and Kimmel will likely riff on today's headlines, including Michael Cohen's testimony in Donald Trump's hush money trial. Then, these interviews usually consist of the two hosts trading notes on the daily grind of running a show and interviewing the biggest names in movies, TV, music, and more.
Who else is on Late Night with Seth Meyers tonight?
After Jimmy Kimmel chats with Seth Meyers, Nicola Coughlan joins Late Night. She'll be on to promote the new season of Netflix's smash hit Bridgerton.
Coughlan should have a lot to say about her increased role in the new season. Her character is getting a love story of her own with Colin Bridgerton.
On the music side, Jon Theodore will sit in with the band. He currently serves as drummer for Queens of the Stone Age. His resume also includes Bright Eyes and The Mars Volta,
Late Night with Seth Meyers airs tonight at 12:35 a.m. ET on NBC.
