Jimmy Kimmel calls Ron DeSantis a "worm" during brutal monologue
Stephen Colbert may give him a run for his money in terms of coverage, but few late night hosts seem to enjoy roasting Donald Trump as much as Jimmy Kimmel. The Jimmy Kimmel Live! star has worked Trump material into practically every episode over the last decade, and based on his recent monologue, he doesn't plan on stopping anytime soon.
Kimmel played a clip of Trump wishing his wife a happy birthday from outside the court, and the host pointed out that the impeached President could have simply made a phone call. "How oblivious do you have to be to wish your wife a happy birthday outside the courtroom where you're on trial for paying off a porn star?," he asked.

Kimmel also joked about Melania Trump celebrating her birthday with her "pre-nup," implying that she and Trump are headed for divorce, but the most scathing portion of the monologue came when the comedian turned his attention to Trump and his recent meeting with Florida governor Ron DeSantis.
Kimmel explained that Trump had a get together with his "favorite punching bag," Ron DeSantis on April 28. "Ronny and Donny met for several hours," he noted. "The team said they knew the meeting went well when DeSantis came out of the room with Trump's body bronzer all over his face."

It only got worse from there, as Kimmel lambasted DeSantis for agreeing to raise money for the Trump campaign despite being publicly insulted by the President in the past. "I would've loved to have been in that room, Trump going, 'No I called you meatball in a good way'." In case the insult didn't land hard enough, Kimmel literally called the Florida governor a "pathetic little worm."
Kimmel closed out his scathing DeSantis bit by revealing that the governor wants to run for president again in 2028. The issue, as the host points out, is that Trump may very well be running again in 2028 as well, meaning DeSantis is effectively getting nothing out of their partnership. "He has his little white boots in his corner," the host noted.
