A new week means a new chance for Stephen Colbert to share his thoughts with the world. So what should The Late Show fans expect to see tonight on CBS?

Colbert's monologue certainly has a lot of material to work with after the weekend. Donald Trump made headlines for his "bloodbath" comment while his legal issues continue to unfold. It's the kind of weekend Colbert typically sinks his teeth into come Monday.

Sadly, we won't get to hear what Stephen Colbert thinks about any of these topics on Monday. There will not be a new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight.

Instead, CBS will reair the February 28 episode. Tune in to revisit guests Chris Hayes and Carrie Preston on the show.

What to watch instead of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight, March 18

The good news is that there are other late-night TV shows that can fill the void left by The Late Show. Add in some quality guests, and it's a Monday night worth watching.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs a new show on ABC at 11:35 p.m. ET. Christina Applegate, Huey Lewis, and a performance from "The Heart of Rock and Roll" are on the schedule.

At the same time, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon will be new over on NBC. Expect to see Jake Gyllenhaal, Chris Robinson, and the Black Crowes.

Joining The Late Show by airing reruns will be The Daily Show, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and After Midnight. Colbert will be off the rest of the week, so expect to see him on March 25 at the earliest.
